Carpenters Rock

   Antigua & Barbuda  Caribbean Sea
An amazing dive site close to shore just 5 minutes out from Nelsons Dockyard in English Harbour. Teaming with marine life and an abundance of lively coral, this reef is seldom visited by dive shops, except Dockyard Divers. Suitable for all levels you can dive it from 40 to 80 ft. In my opinion one of the best dive sites Antigua has to offer. A trully world class dive site.

Bass City

   Mozambique  Indian Ocean
This reef is famous for its friendly Potato Bass nicknamed 'Bert' there are several other large Bass around the reef but Bert is the only one that will swim with you. On the way down the mid waters are filled with game fish. The five rocks that make up this reef are covered with soft corals where Lionfish (often you will see over a dozen at once) and Sweepers lurk. In the overhangs you will discover Shrimp cleaning stations and Octopus, among the sand you will see Carpet Eels and various members of the Manta family.

Bert is an amazingly friendly (and large) Bass

Beautiful Soft Coral covers this area of potholes, ledges and gullies, Flutefish, Trumpetfish, Crocodile fish, Lizardfish, leaf fish, are some of the wonders to be found around this site, a Loggerhead Turtle is also often in residence and Dolphins have been seen around this area too.

Always a relaxing dive which you can drift around and admire all the busy reef life that is so abundant here.

Famous for the Manta Rays it is named after this is a dive you will never forget, there are three cleaning stations which the Mantas circle around. Positioning yourself well and remaining still you can get these amazing creatures to float right over you, please be responsible do not reach out to touch!

The reef has a huge overhang where a Potato Bass is resident, while Red Fang Trigger Fish, Yellow Snappers, Bigeyes, Fusiliers and Trumpet fish are to be found all over the reef. Cleaner Wrasse of course are in abundance doing their job and occasionally a Devil Ray meanders in to see what is going on.

half moon bay

   Saudi Arabia  Arabian Sea
Lots of wrecks of busses , cars , pick ups , and tires . Fish are small . The visibility is bad because the the water is not deep ( 22 feet max. ) . Diving in July , August and September is hard because of the very hot wearther . there is no currents at all so it is a good place for traning and bigenners . The sea bed is mud . The place is almost empty of fish far of the wrecks.

Fahal island

   Oman  Arabian Sea
Fahal Islands in Muscat is a centre of coral diversity

Exposed rocky shores facing north and east is the hub of soft coral growth, while south and west facing shores contain hard coral growth, for example at Cat Island, Cemetery Bay and Fahal Island.

The Damaniyat Islands, about 17-km offshore, support extensive reef development. Damaniyat reefs are typically dominated by a few genera, but at some sites where the assemblage is mixed, coral diversity is known to be high. Damaniyat reefs provide a diverse habitat and feeding grounds for commercially important fish and a high potential value to Oman’s tourist industry, says Mussallam, who being an active diver has watched coral reefs from close quarters.

Sharqiya coast, which used to be an area of luxuriant coral growth, has only a few reef formations now. Much of the previously luxuriant coral growth was destroyed in a storm a few years ago.

Located just offshore from Nu’utele this pinnacle comes up to 3 meters and drops into the depths of the blue (below 40 meters). We found huge schools of fusilier fish, barracudas, Red tooth Triggerfish and larger predatory fish, for example Dog Tooth Tuna, Travelly and of course a couple of grey reef sharks if you’re lucky! Dona Nelly

   United States
This wreck is an interesting one that sank for an unknown reason. It was a shrimper boat. It's covered in a neat coat of algae and coral. Spider crabs and anglefish have been seen. This is a deeper dive, so, some experience is needed. Have fun diving it. Visibility is pretty good, since its average depth is about 95 feet.

Ogden Point

   Canada  Pacific
My dive #48 and 49 Aug 6,06. I booked a guided day with Great Ocean Adventures and they did a great job of looking after me in my first dry suit dives. both were Shore entries, the one not listed above Henderson point directly off the beach and Ogden Point off a 1 km breakwater on the south side of Victoria. Water temp 11 C Air temp 22 C at both.

Henderson Point, north up the inlet, had 1 ft brightly coloured sea stars, rockfish, crabs, sole, plain fin midshipman and moon snail egg casing that was 2ft in diameter.Depth 20m 39 minutes

Ogden Point is an interesting entry and exit off the breakwater with the tide trying to rub you on or off. A quick swim through a kelp and bed and we were down drifting along the breakwater and saw a Wolf Eel, Kelp Greenling, Big (2ft) Ling Cods and Orange Cucumbers.
