Ted's Point

   Honduras  Caribbean Sea
There is a small wall that goes to about 65 feet, then a sandy area with a coral encrusted BBQ grill and a small wreck. Most divers stay shallower than he wreck; however, it's possible to do a deep dive here by continuing past the wreck. The bottom slopes gradually past the wreck to depths in excess of 130 feet (my personal max depth on this site).

In addition to the regular gang of reef fish, both adults and juveniles, we often see spotted eagle rays, large green morays, and turtles here. I've also seen seahorses and a toad fish at this site. Dolphins regularly pass through.

Shaab el Erg (Dolphin house)

   Egypt  Red Sea
Site is famous for dolphins could be often found there during daytime. However diving is not the best approach to get in touch with them. Most appropriate way is to setup a zodiak and ride the reef around with snorklers onboard. Dive ships will point the location of dolphins groups and zodiac could quickly reach one and drop off people. Wide angle supposed, no external flash recommended to be taken as it enlarges equipment wieght and volume - having a need to go 5-7m deep by freediving it's better to keep equipment as lightweight as possible.

Besides dolphins there's a lot of marine life, some caves and a shallow water reef.

Air Force Tower, Cape San Blas, Florida

United States  Atlantic (North American coastal)
Air Force Tower is an old navigational aid. The bottom is about 70 feet while the top of the structure is 20 feet below the surface. The structure is home to at last 3 different types of blenny - seaweed, Molly Miller, and tessalated. It also attracts many other fishes to include spadefish, bonita, cobia, makeral, flounder, snappers, blue angelfish, barracuda, cocoa damselfish, and the occasional Goliath Grouper. Diving can be challenging due to strong currents and poor visibility.

Spot X

   Fiji  Pacific
So named by a divemaster who marked it on the map inside the reef at Naiqoro Marine Reserve with a big X.

This delicate dive site is one of the best places to get those marvelous Great Astrolabe Reef acropora table coral shots. Many huge specimens here all in pristine condtion.

Road Rage

   Fiji  Pacific
Previously called Purple Wall, Road Rage was renamed by one of our regular divers who said that the ripping currents and overwhelming numbers of fish traffic here just weren't well enough described by a "wall dive".

Drop in at the end the Naiqoro Marine Reserve passage and descend to the bottom to be swept into the mouth of the channel to get caught up in the traffic!

Port Hardy British Columbia

   Canada  Pacific
Some of the best diving in the world according to Jacques Cousteau and I must agree. Browning pass is like a wall of color and life is everywhere. This dive site if you can handle the cold water is better than any warm water diving I have seen. Bring your drysuit.

Close Encounters

   Fiji  Pacific
Our newest dive site only discovered in early 2008, this site has turned out to be another Kadavu site where manta rays can be seen regularly.

Even without these magnificent creatures, the reef itself is outstanding in its quality and diversity of fish life.

If you see mantas as well, this dive will always rank amongst the best you will ever do.

Manta Reef

   Fiji  Pacific
A very special dive and one of the few places in the world where manta rays can be seen regularly.

You'll be taken by the size and graze of these beautiful creatures as they circle inquisitively. Though almost within touching distance all you'll do is stand back in awe.

Even without these magnificent creatures, the reef itself is outstanding in its quality and diversity of fish life.

If you see mantas as well, this dive will always rank amongst the best you will ever do.

A Cargo vessel that sank in 1976 carrying a cargo of cement. It can only be dived when the conditions are very calm. Beautiful dive with many fish and other forms of marine life.
