Company Setup

Company Name: Used to set the text that appears on reports. Required field. Enter 255 characters or less.

Company ID: Unique number that is system generated to identify the company. Cannot be edited.

Enter the rest of the company address details on the first tab, including…

• Company Address, web site address (Required field), e-mail, phone number, Fax number, VAT registered number, registered number.
• There is also a Hit counter that increments every time the store is opened.
• The date that the record was created is displayed.

N.B. Most of the tabs can be ignored if your library is not online (as they relate to properties for the online e-commerce interface). If in doubt - use the defaults.

Use the Set command button on the second tab to assign the company logo,.set image file directory. This image is displayed on report headings etc.

The name of the company logo image file (including file name and file extension) is displayed.

Defaults tab

• Currency: The default currency is the currency that you trade in. This is a required field.
• Units Of Weight: Choose Imperial (lbs) or metric (Kgs).
• Country: The country which appears by default on the orders form should be the main country you trade in.
• Category: The default category for the catalogue determines the web page that will open first.
• Forum: The default forum is another internet only feature and is the section that is shown first on any message boards (if installed) on your web site.
• Image Directory: The image directory (web) The name of the sub directory off the WebRoot/Upload directory where this company's product images are stored.
• The image directory (web) is location where this company's digital downloads are stored on the web server.
• Image Directory: The image directory (local) is the path from the local computers root directory to where the company logo image file is located.
• Terms: The Terms Page URL is the Http address of the companies' terms and conditions page. If left blank the standard terms are substituted.

There are several checkboxes for enabling and disabling features on the store.

• Show Links: Flag to show/hide the 'links' navigation link.
• Show Contact: Flag to show/hide the 'contact us' navigation link.
• Show Free: Flag to show/hide the 'free' navigation link.
• Show Tips: Flag to show/hide the 'Tips' navigation link.
• Show Forum: Flag to show/hide the 'forum' navigation link.
• Show Ads: Flag to show/hide the 'advertise here' section.
• Show Phone: Flag to include the company telephone number
• Ad Factor: The factor to adjust advertising rates from the standard built-in.

• Show Tax: Flag to show tax element rather than assume there is no tax.
• Show Freight: Flag to show freight.
• Show Store: Flag to show/hide the store on a WW web site.
• Use Clearance: Flag to use the card clearance service in e-commerce transactions.
• Show Inventory: Flag to show/hide stock levels on the catalogue page.
• Show Discount: Flag to show discounted product price.
• Done: Flag when company setup is complete.

e-commerce

• Store Interface: Select the store interface.
• Num Rows: The number of rows (of items) shown in the catalogue.
• Num Cols: The number of items shown across the page in the catalogue.
• Max Image Size: The maximum width (if landscape) or maximum height (if portrait) for product images in pixels.
• Store Type: Specify the catalog function e.g. e-commerce, Photo Library, Photo sharing

• Financial Year Start: The date of this financial year start.
• Trading Terms: Standard credit terms in days. Used to calculate if a customer should be put on stop.
• Secondhand Value Factor: The percentage factor used to calculate the buy-in price of a used item from the cost new.
• Secondhand Markup Factor: The percentage factor used to calculate the selling price of a used item from the bought-in cost.

Details specifically for billing. This may not be the same as the company address.

• First Name: first name. Important to give the personal touch in mailouts!
• Last Name: Surname/family name.
• Address: Street number, street, and locality (or post-office box).
• City: Town or City where the customer lives.
• Region: County/State/Region/Province.
• Country: The country that appears by default on the orders form etc.
• Postal Code: Post code/Zip Code - is useful for reference, searches and carriers!
• Card Number: Credit card number.
• Expiry: Credit card expiry date.
• Phone: Phone number - includes country code or area code.
• Fax: includes country code or area code.
• E-Mail: E-mail address for customer.
• System Admin: The administrator of this database (e-mail contact details).

• MetaKeywords: The meta keyword tag used on the company home page.
• MetaDescription: The meta description tag used on the company home page.
