Flash

Flash is a useful tool for the photographer to have in low light!

Success with flash is achieved through an understanding of some technical limitations. However, they are not difficult to master.


Below: a Nikon ring flash. As the name suggest this type of flash has a circular tube that your lens pokes through. The reason for this is to illuminate macro subjects close to the lens evenly.


Below: a Nikon speedlight. This attaches on top of the camera hot shoe (or off camera with the optional entension cord).
