Question this message is importantHi Charles, 2 reasons for this post:

1. Great shot, I would like to start doing some more macro work, what lens, diopter and port configeration are you using for these types of shots? Or is it a secret unsure
2. I am trying to get hold of Mike and Val, please can you email their contact details to click here to email

message Hi Allen

I will send details for Mike and Val..
No secrets Nikon 60mm and 105mm, I have been using a +3 diopter with the 105. The problem is the DOF, so you need to find a subject where you can focus on the head and get it in focus. I think finding suitable subjects that are posing in a position where you can concentrateon a tight composition is the key. You would be surprised what tight shots you can get withe 60mm if you can get it right up to the subject and use very low strobe power, down to 10 or 20%.

message Sweet shot! You are right. All I shoot is 60mm. Have thought about the 105 but
when the 60mm nails it, it can't be beat. Little scared I won't be pleased with the 105. Have been thinking about a diopter too.
