Photo Critique

First impression
1) "is this from the same photographer ??", 2) "black & white works !!"

Technical ( score from 1-6, best is 6 )
Exposure : 5, Contrast: 5, Sparpness: 5, DOF ( depht of field ) : 5


Suggestions :
Would be great to have a bit more light to the mono-fin of the model, but I have found your photo technically 100% ok anyway smile


Composition
The swimming rope and the freediver do give a great harmony, combined with dynamic. Got your idea and liked it smile


Suggestions :
Less dead space to the top right an a bit more to see from the rope ( longer ! ) would improve the composition. It also would be worth a try to wait for the moment, when the mono-fins are in an up-position.

No doubt that a human underwater is a great subject. If it is a freediver, I do prefer it even more since I've found the classic scubadiver shots boring many times ;-)


Suggestions :
I would spend a full day with an chance like this. A scenery like this deserves to be done as proper shooting. They key is a good pre-briefing and proper communication with the model. Understanding the sport of freediving helps as well to achieve best shots.

Epilogue
You find me quiet surprised ! Except a few small things it's a great and indeed "dynamic" shot. I am still wondering : Is this from the same photographer ?? If it is so : Well done !

message Lol, If a photo is good I of course can also write "good critiques". Anyway : these kind of sceneries ( freedivers ) are always interesting and if you are clever to work more on it and make it your own and unique style ;-)
