message this message is important Hi Johnny,

Thank for your latest submission to the UWP contest.

You've requested a critique of your photo. Photo critiques here at UWP are meant to give a helping hand with an analytic review & to suggest solutions. The objective is to see you here as winner one day. smile

Johnny, this is a great shot! The lighting and exposure are perfect: you have created a very nice black background, and overall the lighting gives a wonderful atmosphere and displays the texture and features of the frogfish very nicely indeed. Well done!

Technically this shot is very good, the composition is appropriate for the shot, so any criticisms I may come up with would be purely subjective. My only suggestion is that with a subject like this it also works well to get closer and fill the frame with the facial features of the subject - but as far as I know you may well have other shots that do just that.

We look forward to seeing many more of your shots!
