message this message is importantDear Isabella,
as you know my standard foreword already, I'll skip it and directly move on to the review of your recent submission smile

Photo Critique

First impression
Nice clownfish photo...it looks almost like the "spinning" technique smile

Technical ( score from 1-6, best is 6 )
Exposure : 5, Colours: 5, Sharpness: 5, DOF ( depht of field ) : 5, Contrast : 5

Suggestions :
From the technical view : Very well done - It all fits and the white balance is just perfect !

Composition
Classic subject, but the sponge makes the difference !!

Suggestions :
You could even risk to change your crop so that the anemone is not cutted in the upper right of the frame. I think, this photo would work better with a crop in a classic 4/3 ratio. The sponge around the anemone gives a interesting "spinning" impression. However I've found the composition quiet pleasing....only the ratio of the frame is not 100% i...

message ups, sorry....something was cutted away :

only the ratio of the frame is not 100% ideal.

Subject
Known subject, nice subject. Very often photographed subject.....well, probably for good reasons ;-)

Suggestions :
This post does not have enough space...so in short words : Read & learn about the "spinning technique" ...Alex Mustard made some interesting shots with it and from what I recall he explains the technique as well. If you could do this technique with exactly this scene....well that could be a bomb :-))

It's hard to do...but I felt like you could use a proper homework ;-)

Epilogue
All in all : Good shot, no doubts ! It happens very very rarely that I shortlist a photo after writing a critique about it. But yours is worth a shortlisting...and so it's done now - Congratulations !!

All the best & happy bubbles,

Rico
