| DearAlex, Thank for your latest submission to the UWP contest You've requested a critique of your photo. How it works : I will structure my critique into a few chapters and will list some suggested solutions to problem zones ( if there are any ). My critique will be like 2-3 posts in total, please wait with any answers until my photo critic is completed - thanks As we photo critics do this job as volunteers, a 'thank you' is always appreciated (no 'thanks' = no more critiques ). Photo critiques here at UWP are meant to give a helping hand with an analytic review & to suggest solutions. The objective is to see you here as winner one day And here we go ( critique/review starts with the next post ) ! | Rico Besserdich 19675 point member

| | Photo Critique First impression Provocation ? Art ? Desperated try to do something different ? Technical ( score from 1-6, best is 6 ) Exposure : 4, Colours: 3, Sparpness: 2, DOF ( depht of field ) : 3, Contrast : 3 Suggestions : As of course light situations were tricky duringthe original shooting, I have found the postproduction work a bit...overused. So, the technical part regarding mastering techniques of photography (!) is hard to judge here ;-) Composition Blue, green, Snells Window......but could be a bit "tighter". Suggestions : Your image has several nice composition elements in it, no doubts ! Personally I have found that rock in the background a bit disturbing. But as the rock produces a interesting reflection this cpould be solved with a different position of the models and a tighter frame. | Rico Besserdich 19675 point member

| | Subject That's new to me that witches can dive.....AND even while riding their brooms ;-) A somehow "provocative" scenery........ Suggestions : At the end it's of course all a question of personal taste and if do like your photo, it's a good one As it seems to become a kind of new "hype" here at UWP that photographers put "land actions & scenes" in an underwater enviroment, the border between art and sob-stuff is a very slim one. But however : I generally like unusual ideas ! Regarding your image I would think about to start with one "witch" first...2 models underwater is nice but hard to handle in the beginnings ;-) I also recommend to go closer and feature more the model than the underwater scenery. Epilogue This photo got shortlisted - congratulations to you !! Welcome to the UWP underwater photography comeptition All the best, Rico website | Rico Besserdich 19675 point member
