  Beautiful shot. The lighting takes a commmon shot and makes it truly outstanding. You know you have a great shot when other photographers think "Oh man, I wish I took that shot!"

Wow !!! Roland goes for the dark backgrounds !!! Was that a nightdive shot ??? ( using your own words ) However : With a close view, not that background makes the photo...the great exposure & sharpness does !! "Doing it while shooting" it....here you proof it, Roland

Thank you very much Rico. No, it wasn't a nightdive. As Mediterranean diver you know very well that it's no way to shot a moray eel while a shrimp is cleaning the mouth with an attractive background like blue water. Always the colored rocks disturb and gives a bad contrast to the dark moray. So, sometimes a black background helps to make the subject attractive and when you play with lighting, you can bring some drama to the pic. Ok ok, finally I have to write, in a very few moments a dark background is not always the worst.
