Dear Yiyong Yoon, Thank for your latest submission to the UWP contest You've requested a critique of your photo. How it works: I will structure my critique into a few chapters and will list some suggested solutions to problem zones (if there are any ). My critique will be like 3-4 posts in total, please wait with any answers until you see the note "photo critic completed" - thanks As we photo critics do this job as volunteers and as this service ist free of charge, at least a feedback on how this critique was useful to you is always appreciated. Photo critiques here at UWP are meant to give a helping hand with an analytic review & to suggest solutions. The objective is to see you here as winner one day And here we go ( critique/review starts with the next post ) ! | Henry Jager 8024 point member

Photo Critique First impression very nice point of view Technical ( score from 1-6, best is 6 ) Exposure : 4, Colours: 5, Sharpness: 2, DOF ( depth of field ) : 3, Contrast : 4 Suggestions : There are nice things about this pictures like the colors! Well done Let's have a look at the things to improve: Sharpness. There is maybe a small part of sharpness. I'm sure on the original picture one can see it better. Decide upon to make a bokeh shot or not. if you make a bokeh shot, the area of sharpness must be claerly visible in the picture and the rest should be much more blurry. In contrast, open the aperture for a better range of sharpness I recommend an upload with 800px to really make a good statement about the quality (Go for a PRO Account to get this). Maybe you have even lost sharpness while downsizing. So always resharpen a picture after downsizing. | Henry Jager 8024 point member

Composition : Very nice camera angle Ssubject put towards the point of the "rule of thirds" Suggestions : The point of view is great! A deep camera position, slightly upwards shooted, well done! Next time, try to fill the frame a bit more. The snail can fill over 2/3rd of the picture. This has also the advantage to get rid of the distracting foreground. Subject : Gastropods are are very much liked by the spectators. So always worth some pictures. Suggestions : Many pictures of Gastropods are around. So you need to come up with an outstanding shot to succeed. In one way you did (point of view). Now you have to improve in the technical part and maybe you can add some interesting surrounding. | Henry Jager 8024 point member
