Maria proofed it again : A great shot does not need uw photo gear as big as a submarine !
message this message is importantI was trying to work out why this seems to be such a pleasing composition. I think it is because of the 'X-type' shape formed by 2 diagonals. Nicely done, Maria.

message Hi Paul,

Thanks so much for the feedback. It is a really different angle and one I'd never sen underwater before ... It started out as just a head-on shot looking straight to the diver and then I kept looking up and up and back and up .... with a lot of neck-ache the next day ... Really chuffed that you think that it works. Thanks so much. Maria

message For me it's the illusion of the coral surrounding the diver, and the nice subtle glow from the hidden sunball. Nice shot! smile

message Beautiful, we all get so caught up in macro we often forget the big picture. Your angle framed the diver perfectly. Great shot. Marylin B

message Ahhhhh,

Thanks Marilyn for posting too .... I've always been obsessed about wide angle more funnily enough .... but am really chuffed that people like this picture. I think it looks like a bonsai tree smile ....

Have a lovely day.
