message Thank you for the compliment! Am very glad you like it:)

Sometime its just luck I guess. This blue Christmas Tree Worm is one of those that I've shot that doesn't retract even when my lens is just about 1cm away from it. There are some that doesn't retract even when you're very close to it (almost touching distance), can you believe that?

message Yes-I do believe it... I actually came across some of those that do not retract, for the very first time this past weekend. Of course I kept shooting from the perspective that they were going to dive, dive dive at any moment- so now I have learned something new again. Thanks!

message hahahaha...finally someone who believe me:)

Another funny thing is some of those that I've shot have never fail to defecate while I'm very close and shooting them. A funny but very interesting thing to watch thru your viewfinder:)

message well, I studied Marine biology in Baja for 2 years on a marine bio station on the Sea of Cortez. I've written 1 book (a study on the marine life creatures at the Blue Heron Bridge), and I am a contributor to the Museum of Natural History's ichthyology dept. for several years. I do marine photo documentary work. After 20 years of this, it starts to catch on. While I do not have my degree in marine biology- I have earned the degree of life wink (but I still have to look things up).
Now I have to learn to make it pretty and not scientific documentary.
Your work is always an inspiration!
Suzan
