Member since: Thursday, May 24, 2007 | I loved just getting wet. Dove in 3 feet of water in local midwest stream because my wife & I couldn't wait for spring. Also in cow pond. Not much to see. The South Pacific is fantastic. So is the West Coast, from south of Tiajuana to Canada's Queen Charlotte Islands.
1950's - Television newsman & photog
1967 - Shot 1st u/w photos w/borrowed Nikonos
1973 - Began teaching u/w photog
1974 - Developed & marketed correspondence course in u/w photog
1977 - Began teaching u/w photo @ Shedd Aquarium, COD, Univ. of Ill
1978 - Began Creative Whale, mail order in u/w photo & video gear
1979 - Began teaching seminars throughout the states and Caribbean
2004 - Stopped teaching the last of my courses
I wrote and shot a bunch of stuff for publication.
I'm 77 and haven't dived in a couple of years. Maybe I will again.
I last used an RS with every lens made for it. Also a Sony VX 1000 in a Gates Housing. I think I'll keep the video and get rid of a ton of other stuff.
