I have been using a Nikon Coolpix 2100 in a Fantasea housing for some 4 years and had good results when the water is clear. The best shots were oon video mode of seals in the Farne Islands off Northumberland but my favourite diving sites have been in mexico and the red sea.
The camera and housing got taken to 60m in error in Croatia buy did not leak. The shutter however jammed and with there now being some corrosion around the buttons there is a small leak occurring. Godd quality product though.
I used a red filter for a while and whilst this compensated for the loss of colour at depth did block out too much light.
I am looking for advice on a replacement system. Probably a canon Sure Shot for Fuji Finepix dedicated camera and housing with a big view screen.
