Ever get a dirty look from a fish? Taken on "The Strip" off Bimini, Bahamas
Atlantic spotted dolphins north of Grand Bahamas. Nikonos V w/ no strobes.
Waiting at Tiger Beach. We didn't have any luck with Tiger sharks, but we did have a nice big Bull shark circle at a distance for a while. Close enough that I took my place in the dingy.
Goby on coral. One of the few who put up with my Nikon SLR and 6Omm being shoved in its face.
Roatan - shore dive from Fantasy Island. Nikon F80 w/16mm fisheye. Vis was poor, so I converted to grayscale in Photoshop for a better look
A little off-gassing turned into a 82min dive. Several minutes lying on the sand and finally a comfort level was reached. Armed with a Nikon F80 w/60mm it made me wish that I had a 105mm so that I could keep a little distance. It was worth the wait
Brave little guy! He kept darting all about and kept attacking his reflection in my port. Nikon F80 w/60mm Sea&Sea housing.
The Prince Albert, Roatan. This shore dive helped burn many rolls of film. Nikon F80 w/ 16mm fisheye. Julie was okay with the camera. But, John in the background, didn't want to come any closer.
Bull Run - Bahamas Check out the double shadows by the snapper and under the shark. Obviously, one is my strobe. The other is sunlight at 60'!
Southern Stingray. Taken on an otherwise quiet night dive at South Turtle Rocks in the Bahamas. My buddy was videoing on the otherside of a small coral head. This ray swam right at me. Nikon F80 w/ 60mm macro in a Sea&Sea housing.
"The Lighthouse" - Tobermory, Ontario, Canada. A very popular divesite for open water students. Nikon F80 plus 20mm equipped with a 2 stop ND grad filter.
This French Angel was so busy feeding I was able to glide in close. Nikon F80 w/ 60mm in a Sea&Sea housing
Flamingo Tongue Snail - West End Bahamas: 60mm macro lens on a Sea&Sea housed Nikon F80. Program mode w/ -0.5 EV compensation kept the background reasonably bright.
Wild Atlantic Spotted dolphins (stenella frontalis) while on White Sand Ridge north of Grand Bahamas - Nikonos V w/ 20mm lens, ambient light. Fuji Velvia 100F
West End Grand Bahamas - Nikonos V w/ 1:2 extension tubes. Experimenting with backlighting
West End, Grand Bahamas: I am not sure my scan does this slide justice. It's a purple like I have never seen. Nikonos V, 1:2 ext. tubes, Velvia 50
Wreck of the Comet. Kingston area, Lake Ontario. Joanne checks out some china that has been lying on the bottom since 1861
Bull Run in the Bahamas. Several other dive operators shark feed at this location. Armed with my 20mm on a Nikonos I was hoping to get close to a Caribbean Reef shark. But, I couldn't resist this shot. A big grouper hanging out on my shoulder.
Cozumel - Dive Palancar shutting it down for the night. Nikon F80 w/ Nikon 70-300mm Velvia 100
Cozumel - Nikonos V w/ 20mm lens, Velvia 100
Flamingo Tongue snail taken on a night dive @ West End Grand Bahamas Nikonos V w/ 35mm and 1:2 extension tubes
The Grotto, Tobermory Canada. One of those precious few days when a 3mm wetsuit will do
Wooden windlass of the Sweepstakes. Tobermory, Canada. Nikonos V, Sea&Sea 15mm lens and Fuji Provia film.
Taken during liveaboard in the Bahamas. This lobster seemed curious as it came out to see all the divers descending on it at the start of our dive.
Manatees @ Crystal River Florida
Divers around the bow of the Wolfe Islander II in Kingston, Ontario
Trumpetfish @ Victory Reef Bahamas Nikonos V w/ 15mm lens
