Dear Syed, Thank for your latest submission to the UWP contest You've requested a critique of your photo. How it works: I will structure my critique into a few chapters and will list some suggested solutions to problem zones (if there are any ). My critique will be like 3-4 posts in total, please wait with any answers until you see the note "photo critic completed" - thanks As we photo critics do this job as volunteers and as this service ist free of charge, at least a feedback on how this critique was useful to you is always appreciated. Photo critiques here at UWP are meant to give a helping hand with an analytic review & to suggest solutions. The objective is to see you here as winner one day And here we go ( critique/review starts with the next post ) ! | Henry Jager 8023 point member

Photo Critique First impression Very nice WA shot with a compact cam! Technical ( score from 1-6, best is 6 ) Exposure : 4, Colours: 4, Sharpness: 4, DOF ( depth of field ) : 4, Contrast : 4 Suggestions : This shot is technically well done! Closed aperture to get the sunrays and the subject placed to cover the white hole the sun builds The two strobes helped to get the subject illuminated, a closer distance to the subject or a bit more power would have been nice, also for the colors of the jelly. Do you set your strobes manually? The picture could gain from a bit more post processing. Especially regarding sharpness and increased midtones. Composition : Subject in snells window in front of the sun Suggestions : This setting is very nice. The biggest room for improvements I see in the size of the subject. A centered placment workes here. | Henry Jager 8023 point member

Subject : The subject is common but the placement is worth it! Suggestions : To make the subject (Jelly) itself more attractive, try to go closer, respectively choose one of the thousands where the distance from you to the jeyy and from the jelly to the surface is in it's optimum keeping the snells window. Means the Jelly should have been closer to you instead to the surface. Epilogue : You have a good photographers eye and I like your play with the compository elements. You have good chance to make your way in underwaterphotography. But it's a hard way. Excercise a lot and and train your postprocessing skill. There is a good course here at uwp: website I'm looking forward to your next entries All the best, Henry website --------Photo Critique completed-------- | Henry Jager 8023 point member
