This is a hydroid living in a sponge attached to an octocoral. The purplish bubbles are the maturing juveniles (gonophores) of the hydroid that have not be released into the water column yet. Specialist help on identifYing species?
Typically shy burr fish taken at Something Special in Bonaire. Don't know what is going on with the eye. The unusual colors were visible in the sunlight. Nikon D90 with 105 macro. Dual DS 125 strobes.

Endangered Fountain Darters are only found in the Comal River and San Marcos River near San Antonio, Texas. Hard to find one as they are only about an inch long. Really cool to find two together.

This isn't so much a contest entry as to share an image of the Fountain Darter. An endangered species found only in the 2 mile long Comal River and San Marcos River headwaters in Texas.
This little guy came in for a landing, did a 180 degree turn and starting pulling at my hair like it was a meal for him.
