Necora puber (velvet crab). In the North Sea most creatures try to blend in with their environment rather than stand out. I guess investing in bright colours is less rewarding in environments with lower visibility. (f/5, 1/250, ISO-200, 14mm). - Els
A Violet Nudibranch on a journey across a sea squirt. I was fortunate that there was no drift/ current or surge and I could enjoy watching this tiny creature travel. Taken in jersey Channel Islands. ISO400, f-18, 1/125

Caronella pellucida is a beautiful nudibranch common to the West Coast of Scotland, lighting with a snoot adds additional drama to the portrait
This beautiful sea turtle was taken using a Nikon D200 camera with a fisheye lens. I used a mixture of ambient lighting and strobes to create this image.

A nocturnal shot of the vibrant colours of a sleeping Corkwing Wrasse (Symphodus melops) nestled away amongst the algae at Steephill Cove, Isle of Wight, UK.
Just got my new housing and was desperate to try it even thought there was a major storm blowing. So I found a huge tidal Rockpool sheltered by the tower. I had to say alert as the massive tides in the Channel Islands meant surf would soon smash over
Vibrant sea urchin
White sturgeon (Acipenser transmontanus)
Taken in Jackdaw Quarry, UK.
Octopus playing cards, photo taken in the Philippines with a Canon
Fluorescence photography of an anemone in Scotland. It's not 100% known why organisms underwater omit fluorescent light. Many anemones, nudibranchs and elasmobranchs fluoresce. This shot was taen with a yellow filter and a blue Nightsea Sola UV light
A spectacular solar powered Nudi that caught my eye and distracted me from the frogfish I was trying to photograph at the time! Nikon D7100, 60mm, ISO 100 f/8 1/250
