The Crested cup coral (Desmophylum diantus) is one of three species of cold water coral from patagonian fjord, Chile. Commonly they start appearing below 20 m where the slope exceeds aprox. 80º.

The painted shrimp (Campylonotus vagans) is one of the most colorful crustacean foun in the patagonian fiord. Taken with a Nikon d7000, 60 mm macro, iso 100, obturation 1/80 and two flash lights inon Z-240.
This white fan worm (common name) is an annelid of the class polychaeta, which has a characteristic white crown of radioles with an interesting structure called operculum (white circle), used to close the tube house when it feels threaten.
Braving the cold
I guess this could be seen as cheating, it's a shot of intertidal anemones that were in a tidepool. But in my defense, the anemones and the camera were under water when I took it.
