We were finishing our dive; as we turned to swim to our exit, we noticed several large lionfish emerging from the coral looking for dinner. I was able to wait long enough for the lionfish to smile at me and wave my buddy into place before surfacing.

Nikon d700,17mm,ISO 200, f14, 1/160sec. We were at 30ft, when I first noticed movement below me. Slowly, I turned around, inching along the sand hoping for a clear shot. This ray set off a storm, leaving me cleaning the sand out of my gear.

The anchor just in front of Calabas Reef in Bonaire. Great vis and calm water - the anchor found a good place to stay. Shot with a Canon 30D in an Ikelite housing and Sigma 15/2.8 fisheye.

Supermacro image of star coral. This so clearly demonstrates why we need to teach new (all) divers to avoid contact with coral. The fragile polyps seen here are so easily damaged by touch. Taken in Bonaire.

I was diving on Buddy'S Reef in Bonaire shooting with my Canon 5D MK II and Canon 1:28L IS ISM 100mm macro lens. This tiny Trunkfish was swimming around me, lips puckered as if ready to give me a kiss.
