This shot was taken during this years annual sardine migration. I had removed my strobes due to the backscatter and forgot to add weight, i was sat on the surface whilst my friends were seeing an awesome ball below, i was lucky to nail this shot.

I took some sunset shots from the water but the visibility wasn't great... as I got out, I noticed that the tide had dropped low enough for me to hop into a rock pool and get some interesting sundown shots!

Curiosity
This young white shark was incredibly curious about my camera in the water. Every pass it made it came up and gaped in front of it, trying to grab it in it's mouth to figure out what my camera was.

A perfect picture highlighting the benign nature of sharks. The diver wasn't even aware that he wasn't the center of attraction in the shot, until the shark swam in between us.

Wide Open
I had the camera on the end of a pole for this one. After many failed attempts and near misses, everything aligned - I got the right shark, the right angle, the right camera depth, and the right timing - and I ended up with this beauty.

Sea swallows are pelagic nudibranchs which feed on blue bottles out in the open ocean. They are therefore rarely spotted along the coast so I am a very lucky photographer indeed! Occasionally strong winds can blow them shore wards with blue bottles.
