Inspired by nearby competition, this male humpback put some serious power into this series of forward lunges. In 7 years of whale watching, I had never seen a lunge like this from this angle. Taken with a canon 350d and 70-300 lens.

Just hatched baby seaturtles. Look how small - not bigger than a quarter. I was so fortunate to see this. A special thank you to the Cozumel Conservation Dept. who let me observe. A thrill of a lifetime. I was at the right place, right time.

While diving on Santa Rosa Wall off Cozumel, I saw this strange looking formation of sponges and this particular sponge looked as though it had melted and stretched over time. It reminded me of candle wax. Yes, Im weird!

The detail of this Bearded Fireworm is so interesting, yet can sting and leave a bit of pain. This image was taken during a dive on Columbia Deep. This great dive can be done when diving off Cozumel.

This image was taken at Columbia Deep at the end of the dive. I like this image because it illustrates the fine and interesting detail of this particular turtle skin and face.
