Taken with a canon D10 compact on macro setting off Euakafa Island while on snorkel. The sea urchin had a blue tinge but it was only when the flash went off that the iridescent blue came out!
Baby humpback whale in the waters of Vava'u, Tonga. This calf was quite interactive and checked us out a number of times.
This was my first use of the Canon 550D, Tokina 10-17mm lens and the ikelite housing - without strobe.

This Lionfish was quite interested in the camera and gave me the opportunity for some nice close-up shots.

Humpback whale mother and 4 week old calf taken in Vava'u Tonga. I was lucky enough to spend 30 amazing minutes with them and came within 2 meters.

Touching study. Not often you see an U/W shot that says 'family'
I found it harder to photograph these subjects as they move much faster than you think. Luckily, this baby whale wouldn't leave us alone whilst snorkelling near to Mounu Island, Vavau'a in Tonga.
Aargh. Vava'u, Tonga.
The picture is of a Mum and calf humpback Whale taken in Tonga in September using a D300 - the wide angle was needed as they came up very close - i had an awesome time with them - through my photos i can share the feeling & experience with others.
