Taken in Raja Ampat with a Canon Ixus 980 (Canon Powershot SD 990) with an INON UFL-165 AD Fisheye Lens.
I found this jellyfish whilst finishing a local house reef dive off Sharm, I'd always wanted a picture of these, although my fellow divers in the group weren't too chuffed at the time I took to get this shot!
Tompot Blenny from Swanage Pier, UK. Finally getting time to do a spot of UK diving and was really proud to conquer my dream of snapping one of these chappies! Canon 980 with Canon Housing, Macro Mode and Camera's own flash
Runner Up - worthy of note but not a medal winner - an equal 4th place if you like! Runner Up 2010

Final RoundThrough to 2010 awards final round judging
Couldn't believe I bumped into Derek Haslam, Mark Thomas and Justin at the Visions of the Sea Underwater Photo Festival this weekend, so great to meet them and inspiring. They told me to post the image here, but wasn't sure of the category, sorry!
I found it harder to photograph these subjects as they move much faster than you think. Luckily, this baby whale wouldn't leave us alone whilst snorkelling near to Mounu Island, Vavau'a in Tonga.
First time looking for Basking Sharks and after two hours I found a few in Cornwall. This was my first shot! Taken with a Canon Ixus 980 with Inon Fisheye Lens

Lionfish resting on a fan taking with a Canon Powershot 570 and Inon D2000 Strobe
This friendly trumpetfish wouldn't leave me alone and kept looking at my compact with his head pointing down towards the sand so I did the same! Taken with Canon Ixus 980 and Inon D2000 Strobe.
Basket Star in Alaska, I loved the shape of the basket star on the reef contrasted again the green waters of Alaska. Taken with Fuji F30D, Inon Fisheye Lens and Inon D2000 Strobe.
Baby Humpback Whale called Houdini breaching at Johnstone Strait, Canada.
I was on a nightdive and the golden glow of the Lionfish at the Pier in Nuweiba really caught my eye. I wanted to give the subject a kiss of light to portray this and the fin shape. Taken with a Canon Powershot 570 and an Inon D2000 strobe.
I've always hoped to see a frogfish, but I never thought I would see one in the Red Sea. I was on a dive and the others had moved on, I turned round from photographing a piece of coral, and here he was! Taken with a Canon Ixus 980, Inon Strobe
This was the most multi-coloured frogfish that I had ever wished to see and enormous! Taken with Canon Ixus 980, Inon Fisheye Lens & D2000 strobe.
The Canyon in Dahab with the Dive Guide finning backwards and forwards to get this shot! Taken with a Canon Ixus 980 and an Inon Fisheye Lens.

No less than 5 frogfish were seen on the same day in Taba Heights at The Aquarium! This was taken with a Canon Ixus 980, Inon Close-Up Lens and Inon D2000 strobe.
Yet another lionfish! Was counting the lionfish on this particular reef in Nuweiba and after counting way too many, looked for a different photographic angle to capture the contrast with the blue background.
Weather forced us inshore to Vobster, a beautiful quarry in Somerset. Unfortunately the vis was terrible, but managed to find a good old english gnome!
Humpback Whale Fluke taken in Hawaii
Lionfish Cave, there were no less than 250 lionfish on this house reef which was swarming with glassfish as well

Hugest sea star that frightened the life out of me on a recent trip to Alaska. It nearly walked over my fisheye lens! Taken with a compact camera, Inon Fisheye Lens and a flashgun.
First time in colder water for me, 42 farenheit, but these fellas make it well worth it! This was taken at Dillon Rock, BC with a Fuji F30 Finepix Compact.
This little guy was hanging round all the boats in one of the harbours at Vancouver Island and was too cute to resist taking a photo!
