Hey its raining !
I tried lots of ways to capture the ferocity of a rain forest "shower" - this comes near. Taken while snorkelling from the Japamala Hotel on Tioman Island, Malaysia
Dive guide taken from inside a personal minisub in Mauritius with a Canon G10 - see click here for the other side of the camea !
More jewel amnemonies on the Mannacles in teh SW of England - just can't resist them !
I know jewel anemonies are a cliche - but not without reason. Raglan Reef in SW England has walls and walls of these in all colours - this is why I dive in England. Shot with a Canon G10
This is a huge Luidia. Photographed near the "Mannacles" reef in the SW of England. These starfish are quite common, and move suprisingly fast on their long tube feet. This one was a real bruiser - 0.5m across
End of the day
A Lesser spotted dogfish near Lyme Regis on south coast of England. Shot with a G10 and Epoch ES230DS flash.
Diving for non-divers ! Personal minisubs in Mauritius

great for the commute Ian?
Velvet swimming crabs really do have red eyes! shot of Lyme Regis last weekend in about 20m - with a Canon Powershot G10. Image hardly touched, just a little cropping
This tompot blennie sat and posed on the boilers of the "Baygitano" off Lyme Regis on the S coast of england last weekend
Light bulb sea squirts (Clavelina lepadiformis). Shot last weekend off Exmouth. S coast of England in about 8m. Forgot to charge flash - so natural light. They are almost transparent and very difficult to light.
A corkwring wrasse on the James Egan Layne. A Liberty ship torpedoed in 1944 just outside Plymouth harbour. Shot with new Canon Powershot G10 before I got the flash sync sorted.
Big conger under a sunk WW2 amphibious Valentine tank in Poole Bay, S coast of England on a bad day!
One of about 40 blacktips around us on the Aliwal Shoals. Shot with Canon Powershot G10 with Epoch 230 flash March 2009
