Not much manipulation required. I have uploaded the one with the original water color as well so you can compare. I just used the curve tool on the already burnt sun burst and then dodged a bit the rest of the water around the dragon...

The background is natural. The clear tone is given by the water column and the far away rocks. I waited >10minutes to take this shot as the little fellow was moving between the weed to hunt small crustaceans

Vis was bad to start with then deteriorated during the dive to below 1m... but hey I finally got to see the leafy!!! shot taken in the surge

Dance into the light...
The vis dropped to less than 1m during the dive.so I made use of the milky white water to achieve clear background. Minimal PS involved, just the curve tool. Also no fiddling I just waited for the surge to bring it to me!!!
