usually El nido is an aquarium. this time is was invaded by plancton. nonetheless macro was wonderful...as usual!

I stopped to set up my camera and take a photo of another subject, when I saw this soft coral covered with red spots. It's only paying more attention to it that I realized the red spots were slightly moving. So I turned on the macro setting on my camera and found out these busy creatures! I am still looking for their identification.. if anyone can help, you're most welcome!

This March El Nido was invaded by a cold current bringing lots of plancton. Visibility was much reduced as plancton fluctuated for several days at mid depth, slowly depositing to the bottom day by day. Else than this period, I've always dove in an aquarium in El Nido area. However macro life was still very present we could also spot unusual species of nudis in the area.

Taken from the Philippines Siren boat. Manila, to get boat at Batangas to then sail to Coron post Typoon Haiyan. Great dive team, good boat, but past its best and could not sail due to mask problems.

The little fish was hanging out within the Sea Grass. Taken with a 105 on a Nikon D7000 over Christmas 2013. The Dive team from the Aiyanar Beach and Dive Resort were excellent. Camera Room was really good. Diving was not cheap and a mix of Muck and Reef. The Reef outside the hotel was very good but no large fish.
