The monthly winners<\/strong> (1st, 2nd, 3rd and Runner Ups) are chosen from this short list by our editor (no medals, just your name in the lights for a month!). They are chosen according to the number of judges votes with some reference to the peoples votes and the editor’s choice. It is no coincidence that many of the Hotshots<\/a><\/strong> end up in the annual awards!

\nI left the corporate world a couple years ago to concentrate full time on underwater photography and conservation. That was one of the best decision I ever made. My favorite subject is sharks, but I really enjoy photographing most anything underwater from tiny shrimp to massive shipwrecks. I hope to capture images that inspire people to care about the ocean and the creatures that live in it. I shoot with an Olympus OM-D E-M1, Nauticam housing, and Sea&Sea YS-D2 strobes.

\nDuring my professional activity as an Barakuda \/ CMAS instructor trainer I have come in contact to underwater photography and become my favorite hobby.<\/p>\n

I am born in Germany and live of the Balearic Island Menorca ( Spain ). Together with my girlfiend I work in our small but very nice Dive Centre. In the high season it’s no way to dive with camera. Rest of year you will find us mostly under the surface taking photos.<\/p>\n

I am happy to share my experiences with like-minded here on the UWP page. Actual, I take pictures with a Nikon D300 in Sealux housing and Nikon strobe SB 900.<\/p>\n
