The monthly winners<\/strong> (1st, 2nd, 3rd and Runner Ups) are chosen from this short list by our editor (no medals, just your name in the lights for a month!). They are chosen according to the number of judges votes with some reference to the peoples votes and the editor’s choice. It is no coincidence that many of the Hotshots<\/a><\/strong> end up in the annual awards!

\nI\u2019ve been fascinated with it from before I can remember. Apparently my father \u2013 in trying to impress my parents\u2019 female friends with his knowledge of babies \u2013 gently submerged me as a new-born into our pool. I couldn\u2019t get enough of it.
\nI became PADI certified in 2008, and bought a cheap point-and-shoot camera with my husband to show our friends and family the wonders of the Caribbean Sea. With time, I got better gear along the way \u2013 currently I\u2019m in love with 4\/3 mirrorless cameras.
\nI feel I\u2019ve only just begun really getting into underwater imaging. I\u2019m most certainly still learning, and will always do so. I remind myself most of all to witness the beauty around me, all the time.
\nWith photographs, it all comes back to that one thing in the end: Water. It inspires me. If I can show the beauty of water, and the crucial importance of water, and all nature\u2019s gifts in it, in any conceivable way, I\u2019ll have a happy soul.

\nI begin in the 2008 to take underwater pictures. I used a Nikon Coolpix 8700 with Nikon SB800 in Fantasea camera and strobe Housing. I don’t use TTL but only manual adjustment both on camera and flash. Now I use a Nikon D90 and a Nikon D5200 with Easydive Leo II housing and a Nikon Coolpix P7000 in Easydive housing Easysnap. I use strobes Nikonos SB-105. My lenses are: Nikkor 40mm Macro, Nikkor 60mm Macro, Nikkor 12-24 \u01922,8 and Nikkor 18-55.
