Truk can be a difficult destination to get to depending on which country you originate. From Australian cities you must connect with Continental Airlines in Cairns (Far North Queensland) spend a few hours at Guam (you must have an ESTA permit)and carry on to Truk. The island has many Western---style hotels with excellent dive boats and local divemasters.
