Daily boat trip is about 90 minutes to the dive site. To see the whale sharks, its important to dive 2-4 days after a full moon and the best months are April, May and June. Placencia is a pretty quaint little town, nothing like the far busier San Pedro. Seahorse Dive Shop is probably the best in the area and the owners are fantastic divers and captains.
