I was out in the sand at Hin Pee Wee in the gulf of Thailand close to Koh Tao.
I was experimenting with trying this dark background look. I'm very happy with the result, The picture was taken early this year.

Whip coral crab, taken at Gato Island, Malapascua, Philippines. This was a hard shot to get due to the shallow depth of field and having to maintain buoyancy while manual focusing as there was nowhere to rest on the seabed. Taken at f5 105mm macro.
