Best drift dive on the island is from Barbara Beach towards Directors Bay. Will take approx. 70-80 minutes. Beautiful coral life with fields of elkhorn and staghorn coral. After 30 minutes there always used to be a large chance to encounter a hawksbill. One of the few places on Curacao where it is common to see the grey angelfish

Perfect dive with good colors. Due to it's south eastern orientation lightfall is nice throughout the day till 4 o'clock. A big anchor and a lost propellor are photogenetic features on the reef. Possible to do dolphin or sealion dives with the Seaquarium mammals in the open water. On both dives a professional photographer comes along to take pictures.

typical of Bonaire north. big cleaning station just under the boat swim north on the reef slope deep as you want to, then come back at the top at 30ft to 20 ft find the large "Mushrooms " then the moring hang out there in the shallows for your saftey stop..... find the chain morays in the blade coral ...but they are hard to photo graph if there is a surge.....

Not a shore dive, access by boat only. Mooring line at dive site. One of Bonaire’s most popular dives. In the past, divers had to use ropes to rappel to this site! There are large fans and colorful gorgonians of all shapes and sizes in the shallows. Nice wall drop off at 50 feet. Lack of sand beach makes for clear vis. The beautiful coral formations appear to have been planted and cared for by a conscientious, hardworking gardener. Due to the close proximity of the mooring line to the ledge on shore, boats have a tendency to rock. Depth 30-100 feet (18-30 meters)

The reef wall was swarming with colorful arrays of fish, however I was focussing on the smaller critters deep within coral crevasses and sea anemones, and I found quite the abundance!

easy dive site. go to buddy's dive resort. steps down into the water. very good for beginners or night dive.
| |
This dive site is in the southern part of the island. Sandy bottom with a gentle drop out to the wall. beautiful dive with lots of soft corals and fans. great site when conditions are rough to the north
| |
This is a wonderful dive on the north end of bonaire. Entry and exit are super easy. There is a short sandy area filled with lots of small macro subjects, followed quickly by a great wall with lots of larger fish and turtles.

Our first trip to Bonaire in 2010 and we just loved it. The reefs were so lush and full of life. The Island is basically set-up as a divers playground. We stayed at Buddy dive resort and they were fantastic. Our favourite site was Barri Reef. The site was a 5 min. drive from Buddy dive resort. The site was easy to enter and exit and we found more life there than on any of the other 8 sites we were on. We can hardly wait to get our selves back to Bonaire in 2014.
