The day we made this dive there was a gentle current allowing a nice slow drift along a the reef from north to south. The reef consist of big boulders with exceptions of some stretches of sandy bottom around the beach area. Underwater theres a long stretch of hard corals sloping down to a sandy bottom at around 17 meters. There is plenty of fish of all kinds.

A lovely site with 5 fingers to explore, spread like those on a hand. It is common to dive with Leopard Sharks, along with a host of other marine life including rays, turtles, many kinds of morays, octopus, lionfish, trumpetfish, schooling treavlly's and barracuda's and a host of smaller macro life.

The Dive Site to the west of the Island Koh Yung is a great dive site for beginners! Its about 3-14m deep and there are lots of sandy patches in between!

1 idea, 2 days of preparation, 1 property master, 2 safety divers, 3 models, and 1 photgrapher - the shooting for three different scenes did last at about 90 minutes.

This wreck is an old tin dredger, one of the several (now disused and sunk) scatter around west the coast line of Thailand. There is one I know of in Bang Tao Bay (Phuket), a very famous one the "Boonsung" off the coast of Bang Sak beach (North of Khao Lak) and the "Premchai 103" off the coast of Thab Lamu (south of Khao Lak). Local diving offers an amazing variety of marine life.
Accordingly, the choice between wide angle and macro is sometimes very hard.
Schools of Trevalleys and Yellowtail snapper obstract the view of the wreck at times while crabs, shrimps, nudis and other macro life is scattered all around.

I was looking at an anemone fish, just enjoying the beauty of the little creature, when sudenly i felt that something huge is swimming above me.
I looked up and there it was.
It was the first time for me to see a whale shark while diving. it took me almost 3500 dives to be ready for that magical moment...
