Spotted cleaner shrimp on an anemone. These 2 creatures have a symbiotic relationship  where the shrimp provides parasite removal services and the anemone protects the shrimp from predators.

This pod of sperm whale were asleep  out of the blue around 50 pilot whales suddenly appeared and began making noise and generally harassing them.  taken under permit

This spot is located in the Total Protection Area of the Prof. Luiz Saldanha Marine Park (included in the Arrábida Natural Park). Any human activity is prohibited in the spot, diving included. However, special licenses are given for scientific purposes.
The area serves as a nursery for several species of fish which can be found in the Marine Park.
