Now back in Chinese hands I don't know if the BSAC club still operates there but there are dive operations.
The big stuff has been fished out but you still see a diverse range of smaller critters like damsels, octopus, sea worms.
There are 255 islands to explore so you shouldn't run out of sites. highlights are Tap Mun, fung Head, Long key, and Pak Kwo
On land the shopping is superb and it is the best place in the world to buy a suit!
