United Kingdom Atlantic (European coastal)Launch your inflatable off the beach and head east until you see the two rocks (cow and calf?)
On a good day the viz can be 10 metres
This site has some tropical looking fish like rainbow wrasse that I haven't sen on other sites.
Further off the reef there is a coarse sandy bottom with interspersed rocks
Nearest air is Weymouth. Loads of campsites around. Like Osmington Mills (with the fantastic Smugglers Inn nearby)

Vis was bad early in the year, summer is best, but with plenty of tourists crowds. Large boulders, wall diving, lots of octopus, lobsters, scorpion fish, nudis...not many fish, but interesting to look about.

Norway Norwegian SeaSaltstraumen is a sound with a strong tidal current located in Nordland some 30 km east of the city of Bodø, Norway. It is the strongest tidal current in the world. Up to 400 million m³ of seawater forces its way through a 3 km long and 150 m wide strait every six hours, with water speeds reaching 20 knots (about 37 km/h). Vortices up to 10 m in diameter and 5 m in depth are formed when the current is at its strongest; this feature is commonly known as a whirlpool.

United Kingdom Atlantic (European coastal)Loch Fyne is a great place to dive all year round and whatever you prefer your type of diving will be found here. Air fills can be found at Inveraray caravan park this is air only if you need a mix, Tarbert is the place you will need to go to. There is a slipway at the caravan park that can be used what ever state the tide is.
There is also a cafe on site that is very friendly and worth a visit while waiting for fills. Basically all along the Loch can be dived.Once stayed in a b&b at Furnace and instead of driving to the area that was intended to be dived we just walked to the bottom of the garden and went in there, two great dives had by all.I must add that although l have stated depth at 30 meter`s there are places where this Loch exceeds well over a hundred meters if you are thinking of diving the loch please ask a local for advice, if you are not sure you can buy a map of the Loch indicating depths. I am happy at 30 meters and always find plenty to see at between 5 to 30 meters so l am sure that will cater for most divers.

Norway North SeaLurefjorden north of Bergen is home to the fantastic deep-sea jelly Periphylla periphylla, also known as crown jelly. There animals normally live on a depth of 7-800 to 7-8000 meters, but in Lurefjorden they can be found thriving in "just" 400 meters of water.
To see these amazing creatures it is necessary to dive at night in the winter (february is the best time). The dive is done in the middle ov the fjord, over deep water, as the jellies migrate vertically. The best time is a moonless night between midnight and 02:00. If you're lucky, you'll see thousands!
Every february we do a special "jelly safari" weekend with Gulen Dive Resort (www.gulendiveresort.com), the only resort in the world to offer this unique experience. Diving is for advanced/experienced divers only, as it is done in open, pitch black water several hundret feet above the bottom. It is very easy to loose track of your depth as there are no points of reference.
