"Taurus, the firm Wilson, sounds, was a little tug, but with great maneuverability especially in tight harbors, devise its system of rotating propeller within the duct. He worked in ports such as Suape and Recife. where in 2003, during a maneuver in the river mouth sank, remained well a few days. A rescue operation has brought the tug to the surface again. After the Wreck, due to damage and long-term use, the tug was decommissioned, leaning against the port of Recife where desequipado and was finally donated to the design of artificial reefs." click here

Wreck dives, Spiegel Grove viz was not as good as I expected, mostly 30 ft to 40 ft, USNS Vandenberg has strong currents and viz also was limited, not much marine life on the Vandenberg, it will be pristine in a couple of years when the marine life moves on it. So far all that is there are a couple of Groupers, under 100 pounds. Phillipines was a great dive site as well, Dumaghette & Puerto Galera, pristine reefs, easy diving mostly shallow dives down to 90 feet. The Carribean is the Carribean, the reefs are dying and the big animal life is hard to find, Cozumel is always great for a fast drift and tunnels and swim throughs, I stay away from cave diving. Costa Rica on the NW side of the country, Hermosa, has some big animals and the viz is poor because of the planten in the water to feed the big boys. The South Pacific has my interest, this year I went to Fla. and going to Dominica and then to Borneo for 2 weeks.

This dive site is a fantastic place to get great shots of macro subjects. The Christmas tree worms were perfect, and there is everything here from puffers to sharks. There are lionfish all over the place here and was lucky to get this shot. I was lucky to be aboard the aquacat on my first live-a-board dive trip and it was amazing. The crew and vessel were top shelf, and look forward to returning again and again.

A truly remarkable dive site. Great for beginners as it is an easy drop-off from a flat rock into about 2 meters of water. A sheltered entry also exists amongst the huge rocks. A very nice swimthrough and also a huge rock to the right offers a huge wall to explore with some amazing nudibranchs and an abundance of fish.
