Dynamic range

Dynamic range is the ratio between the whitest whites (D-Min) and the blackest blacks (D-Max).

It may not be possible to capture the entire range of a scene photographically due to the limitations of the technology used.

Dynamic range is a measurement of the accuracy of an image in color or gray level. More bits of dynamic range results in finer gradations being preserved.
