Getting familiar with the Transition tray

The Transition tray contains effects (transitions) that can be inserted between scenes.

A Transition preview monitor

The Transition preview monitor is where you can preview a transition effect you selected.

B Transition time slider

Use this slider to set the duration of the transition.

The possible transition time is between 1 and 5 seconds.

C Transition

Click any transition to view a sample of its effect on the Transition preview monitor. To use a transition for a movie, drag it from the Transition tray and drop it on a Transition palette of the Storyboard or between scenes arranged on the Timeline.

Note

You cannot place a transition between two scenes that do not have a scene before or after them.
