To save the interim contents in a project file

When you exit MovieShaker while editing, you can save the interim contents (status) of the Clip tray and Product tray as a project file before quitting MovieShaker. When you open the project file next time, you can continue creating your movie from where you left off editing last time.

You can also open the previously saved contents of the Clip tray and Product tray and save them as a new project file after editing. It can be easily modified for creating a new movie.

  1. Select "Save Project As" from the "File" menu on the Menu bar.

The "Save as" dialog box appears.

  2. Specify the destination folder for saving the project file.

  3. Enter a file name, and then click "Save."

The interim contents of the Clip tray and Product tray are saved, and the "Save as" dialog box closes.

Hints

  • A confirmation dialog box appears if you exit MovieShaker without saving the interim contents of the Clip tray and Product tray as a project file. If you want to save the contents as a project file, click "Yes" in the dialog box before quitting MovieShaker.

  • The contents of the Clip tray and Product tray saved as a project file can be overwritten. Select "Save Project" from the "File" menu on the Menu bar.

  • If you select "New Project" from the "File" menu on the Menu bar, a new (empty) project file is created. It can be used as a template.

To open a previously saved project file

You can open the interim contents of the Clip tray and Product tray.

  1. Select "Open Project" from the "File" menu on the Menu bar.

The "Open file" dialog box appears.

  2. Select the project file you wish to open, and click "Open."

    The selected project file opens.

Hint

You can also open a project file by dragging and dropping it on the MovieShaker icon during starting MovieShaker, or by double-clicking the file.

Note

When you open a project file in MovieShaker, or if you have saved the interim contents of the Clip tray and Product tray as a project file, do not move or delete the original files to which the clips on the Clip tray and the scenes on the Product tray are referring.
