Smaller subjects typically 1 to 3 inches (2.5 to 7.5cm) shot on macro settings or with macro equipment that are in MID WATER not touching anything (i.e. between 1:1 and 1:3)

This clownfish was coming out to greet me as I ventured to close to his Bubble Anemone
i nice clear empty day out in the surf.
Cruising gracefully. Spotted eagle ray taken at French Cay in 65ft, at dive site called G-Spot. Taken from about 80ft distance with digital zoom, no wide angle. Gorgeous animal!
Shy juvenile box fish
Peering into the Deep, this arc-eye hawkfish was 15 ft down a coral head wall in Honaunau Bay. I snorkel so I had to keep diving down to get him used to me without hiding. Finally I dove further away from him and came up from under him to shoot this.
A damsel with its typical atitude, the "terrier" of the sea. S2Pro with 60mm lens.
Coral Frame - This shy queen angelfish insisted on using the light-colored coral of "Alice-in-Wonderland" Reef, Bonaire as a picture frame. I obliged.

I was trying to shoot the eel when this mimic cardinalfish drifted into the frame. I focused on him instead and tried to make the eel a nice background.
