Smaller subjects typically 1 to 3 inches (2.5 to 7.5cm) shot on macro settings or with macro equipment that are in MID WATER not touching anything (i.e. between 1:1 and 1:3)
Tiny and Bright. A two inch juvenile treefish shows its brilliant yellow stripes. Taken with a Canon Digital Rebel and 60mm f/2.8mm in Ikelite Housing with single DS50 strobe. Shot at f/18 and 1/320 second.
A small blue fish that maybe someone can help me identify?

These Signal Gobies (Coryphopterus signipinnis) were really cute, swimming in little jerky movements and as they did so, they lowered their top and bottom sail fins. Annoyingly, they just moved off every time I got a good focus lock..¸> <((((º>

"Cupids Bow" I found this embracing pair of Robust GPF under the jetty at KBR in just 1.5m of water!
1/250 at f13 105m ISO 200. This was taken in 3.5m of water with me hanging onto Deddy, my dive guide, for support and shooting one handed. Luckily this fish was perfectly positioned and I knew I had the shot immediately.

Under Cover. A tiny juvenile kelpfish blends with kelp in the water column at Anacapa Island. Shot with a Canon Digital Rebel and 60mm f/2.8 lens in and Ikelite housing using natural light at f/2.8 and 1/50 seconds.

I have met this beauty on a sunset dive off the jetty of the dive resort in Kapalai. Ideally, I was looking for a pair of them, but he was hard to resist . I was very happy with the result smile
