shots taken using ambient light i.e. unlit by flash or continuous lighting like HID but filters on the lens are allowed if declared
"Shadows Over The Sand" Spadefish sailing over the sand as we spent off nitrogen at Turneffe in Belize at the end of a dive. This photo was taken with a DC200 and no strobe in 2005.
This is a gorgeous striped triggerfish with a Blue-striped snapper. Taken in the Maldives whilst snorkelling.
Whale Shark. I was swimming along the wall and looked out to sea and there he was, right beside me! Shot with a Canon S400 digital camera with no flash (I set the custom white white balance).
The rare 'rainbow Napolean Wrasse'. Just kidding. These things are huge and quite shy. They can be pretty quick to so had to flip fast and keep the camera steady at the same time.
Schooling Hammerhead sharks. Galapagos. 2006. D70, 12-24mm.
Gray Angelfish. Roaming about the deck of the Oro Verde off Grand Cayman.
I just love swimming with the turtles. They are so peaceful and majestic. This one was very happy to have his photo taken.
Taken with a Sealife Reefmaster without external flash. No diving, only snorkelling.
Fijian Anemonefish. Commonly mistaken as the Tomato Anemonefish, this damselfish is now believed to be endemic to Fijian waters, only.
Minke whale-Up close and personal. Taken near ribbon reef #10, The Great Barier Reef.
'ASTROLABE' Deep natural light images are always and interesting challenge. Let's see.. we can can count five exhalations, so how deep at least is she? Housed Nikon F; Niko Mar III housing; 24mm Nikkor lens. Enjoy!
