The shot was taken during a nightdive in januari. The water still very cold and not much life for a picture. My buddy started to feel cold and swim faster and faster. This left me with pictures of his fins.

Lacking "claws" they have filter fans at the end of each appendage. They stand on their "hind legs" and extend the fans to capture passing food in the current.

There is no sea to attach this to, but this image was taken to display the amount of force and energy the flooding that occurred in Nashville TN last weekend.
