Picture taken about 10 km West of Bella Coola, on the West coast of British Columbia.

This image was shot during the San Diego fires in 2003. Due to the extreme coverage of smoke and ash in the air the sky stayed a warm color for about 4 days. This was taken around 10am at Seaside Reef in Cardiff. The surfer is Gavin Sutherland.
