Smaller subjects typically 1 to 3 inches (2.5 to 7.5cm) shot on macro settings or with macro equipment that are NOT MOVING usually on the bottom (i.e. between 1:1 and 1:3)
This was on a dive that was off the Santa Cruz Islands. Unfortunately there was less then 5' visibility.

a painted cleaner shrimp dances over a rock cod's eye. ticklish!
Orange peel nudi - vancouver island
These tiny shrimp live on black coral and are hard to spot. When you try to take a picture they just keep moving around the coral so it's hard to get a good shot. I quite like this one.
