While I tried to capture a shot of these juvenile squids near to the diving platform, a curious guest is watching me and wonders what the heck I am doing there ;-) The lights on top are reflections of my strobe lights on water surface.

Patrol Boat 119 - I took this shot 13 minutes after this new shipwreck touched oceans ground. Lots of dirt & dust clouds....the ship's stern was totally covered by a sand cloud that time. Ambient light shot, converted to B/W.

tiny hermid crab resting on an old & rusty anchor chain.
60mm makro lens with +4 closeup filter.
This small cavecleaner shrimp was only 1,5 cm small...so I hope that's the right category.
Ok, that's my last submission for 2010. Happy to be part of the great community. Best wishes & a big hug to all of you !!

It pays to fill the frame. Rico has elevated an ordinary moray shot to a great moray shot by a tight crop
Lionfish closeup
A sunny afternoon at the reef. CANON 40D with Sigma 10-20mm lens & "magic filters" ( no strobe ). Na'ama Bay, Egypt - Red Sea
"Interaction" - At the end of a long snorcling uw photo session, this lionfish appeared in just 60 cm deep water. 1,5 hours of PS work on this pic since the entire scene was covered with dust & sand particles. I hope, that's the right category ;-)

A freediving photographer. CANON 40D, Sigma 10mm, no strobes. Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt
Classic coral/diver scene. Dedicated to the 70year old german lady who got killed by a shark in Sharm El Sheikh yesterday - my thoughts are with her family.
