While I tried to capture a shot of these juvenile squids near to the diving platform, a curious guest is watching me and wonders what the heck I am doing there ;-) The lights on top are reflections of my strobe lights on water surface.

Patrol Boat 119 - I took this shot 13 minutes after this new shipwreck touched oceans ground. Lots of dirt & dust clouds....the ship's stern was totally covered by a sand cloud that time. Ambient light shot, converted to B/W.

Diamond Shrimp having a small snack at night
Wreck of an greek cotton freighter, Kas/Antalya - Turkey. CANON 40D, Ike Housing, Ike Ds125 strobe, Sigma 10-20mm lens.
Just Bubbles....
Cornet Fish
Night Princess ( Polycyathus ). Night dive shot. Original size is about 4 cm. Canon 40d with Ikelite housing, 60mm canon macro lens, 1x Ikelite Ds125
Happy freediver :-)
Turtle against the sun. Olympus CW 7070
Eye of an octopus ( octopus vulgaris; common octopus ). Canon 40D, Ikelite DS125 strobe & Canon 60mm EF-s macro lens.
Flying Flatworm ( Nightdive )
A 1,5 cm small "friend". Took me ages to take at least one good pic of him, because he was swimming around all the time & looking to me like he say "don't you dare !!" ;-) CANON 40D, 60mm macro lens, IKELITE DS125
CANON 40D, 60mm CANON Makro lens, Ikelite Housing + IKELITE DS125 strobe. Kas/Antalya 2008
This happens, if you have your 60mm macro lens prepared for a photo dive : Always the big buddies are coming by, then ;-) Anyway: I hope, that's the right category - close up shot of a common sea turtle ( caretta caretta ).
Phylangia colony ( sorry, I've found only the latin name for it ). From the diveplace "Canyon" ( left side of the wall at 12,1 meter depht ) in Kas/Antalya - Summer 2008. Thanks for looking at it :-)
shortlistedShortlisted!
"Dutchess of York", a shipwreck near Kalkan in Turkey. Since a lot got broken there, I decided to shoot just a small part and some nice blue with a diver in a distance. Depht was 47 meter.
Flabelina Afinis
I unfortunetly don't have much to say about this...I just like it ;-)
Horozbina. A 5 cm small buddy, who is usually extremly "nervous" and therefore difficult to shoot. If you are looking close enough, there are even in the mediterranean nice motives to find ;-)
Baby barracudas in an late afternoon dive.
The "Skydiver". Swimming with the camera below this small squid made the photo possible. I took it in 2009 in Kas-Antalya (Turkey)
the Lady in Red. Another result of an "marathon-like" model uw photo-session ;-)
It was a great underwater photo session, when I worked with my turkish girlfriend Seda on freediving wide angle photos. While I was scubadiving, she was freediving. On later afternoon she managed to "bend" herself around the sun....a amazing moment
